Sarcelle is a refined holiday apartment in the heart of Nouméa.

Named after the French word for “Teal” to reflect the extraordinary colour of New Caledonia’s lagoon. From its privileged position on the 18th floor of a modern and prestigious residential tower, the apartment enjoys sweeping views in every direction. To the west, the sparkling Coral Sea stretches towards the horizon, while to the east, the lush mountains that frame Nouméa provide a stunning natural backdrop. Below, the vibrant cityscape of downtown Nouméa unfolds, placing the best of the city at your feet.

As evening approaches, Sarcelle truly comes into its own. The western horizon delivers spectacular sunsets, with brilliant gold, pink and amber tones reflected across the sea and sky. As the city lights begin to twinkle below and the mountains fade into silhouette, the apartment transforms into a peaceful retreat high above the city. Whether you are enjoying a quiet evening on the balcony or planning the next day’s adventures, Sarcelle offers an unforgettable setting for a sophisticated stay in Nouméa.

A short stroll and you are at the gateway to some of the South Pacific's most breathtaking islands.

One of Sarcelle’s greatest advantages is its exceptional location in the heart of Nouméa, placing New Caledonia’s most spectacular island adventures within easy reach. Just a short, 15 minute walk from the apartment is the Betico ferry terminal where regular ferry services connect travellers to the stunning Isle of Pines and the idyllic Loyalty Islands, including Lifou, Maré and Ouvéa—renowned for their crystal-clear lagoons, pristine white-sand beaches, dramatic cliffs and traditional Melanesian culture. Whether you’re planning a day trip or a longer island escape, these unforgettable destinations are conveniently accessible from your doorstep.

Also within easy walking distance is Port Moselle, where boats depart for the magnificent  Îlot Maître,  Îlot Signal and Îlot Larégnère, Îlot AmédéeÎlot Ange and Îlot Ronde islands.  In less than 30 minutes on the boat (40 minutes to Îlot Amédée, Îlot Ange and Îlot Ronde),  you can find yourself surrounded by turquoise waters, vibrant.coral reefs and some of the best snorkelling in New Caledonia.  Home to an abundance of tropical fish, turtles, rays and marine life (including humpback whale watching during July-September), these islands offer an extraordinary lagoon experience that feels a world away from the city while remaining remarkably convenient to access.

For those seeking the perfect beach day, Baie des Citrons is only a 10-minute drive from Sarcelle. Widely regarded as one of Nouméa’s most desirable swimming beaches, this picturesque bay is famous for its calm, protected waters, palm-lined foreshore, waterfront restaurants and spectacular sunsets. Whether you’re swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding or simply relaxing beside the lagoon, Baie des Citrons captures the very essence of the New Caledonian island lifestyle.
